In German it is called ‘Willkommenskultur’: making newcomers feel at home. The new project youregion wants to invest in this welcoming culture by making placement services across the Euregio work together. The new Interreg-project youRegion was launched at the 19 june 2019.
Attracting international talent is a priority for the Euregio. This is why several cities invest in placement and advisory services for newcomers. They recruit foreign workers and give advice on topics such as social security, housing and local culture.
In the Euregio, such services for newcomers do not yet work together across borders. The new Interreg project youRegion wants to make these work together. This should contribute to a Euregio as an attractive place to work, live and invest in.
YouRegion is led by Stichting Euregio Meuse-Rhine and will run from 2018 until 2022.
